Anyone in the greater Charlottesville community can join the Cville TimeBank.
Potential members set up a profile on our member portal, and must attend an orientation prior to having their TimeBank account activated by coordinators.
Once your account is activated at orientation, you can begin browsing current offers and requests – and post your own!
As soon as you complete orientation, we deposit 5 TimeBank hours in your account, which you can spend on any member services.
This is our own “stimulus” package, and we find that removing the fear of going into debt helps our new members jump right in.
Orientation
New members are required to attend a virtual orientation ZOOM session prior to their account activation. Plan to spend about an hour getting acquainted with TimeBanking and the software we use to track our exchanges. You’ll probably want to take a few notes.
Orientations are usually offered twice a month on:
- the 1st Wednesday at 7:00 pm
- the 3rd Saturday at 9:00 am
After you complete the application with hOurworld you will receive an invitation to electronically sign the Liability and Agreement. Additionally, you will receive an email from the TimeBank to schedule your orientation and receive a copy of the Member Handbook.
