To become a member:
Anyone in the community can sign up to be a member of the Cville TimeBank. Each potential member must attend an orientation and set up a profile on our Community Weaver site. We recommend that you wait until your orientation session to do this, so that we can guide you through it and approve your account on the spot.
Annual membership fees for the CTB are $24, and can be prorated quarterly. Membership fees are due at the time of enrollment, and scholarships are available.
Once your account is authorized, you can begin browsing current offers and requests – and post your own!
We strongly encourage all members to participate in the social gatherings and special events that CTB sponsors throughout the year. Not only are they fun, but they give our members an opportunity to interact, share ideas, and discuss problems. Most events are family friendly – and if you’re thinking about signing up, please come and check us out!
Our next orientation sessions are:
- Tuesday, June 25 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the Northside branch of the Jefferson Madison Regional Library
- Wednesday, July 24 6:00 – 8:00 pm in the Jefferson Room at the Central Library on Market Street
- Tuesday, August 20 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the Northside branch of the Jefferson Madison Regional Library
We’ll hold one session at the start time, and then restart the orientation session at the top of the second hour – Drop in for the hour that works best for you, and plan to spend at least 45 minutes to an hour getting to know timebanking, and the software used. And, if you bring a laptop or wi-fi enabled tablet, we can get you started on the spot!
